Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is an action RPG from the future. It is 2029 and the world is in chaos due to bloody events caused by augmented (technologically enchanced) people who are being controlled. The whole world is affected including Prague which is portrayed as the world terrorism center and also one of the main location in which the story of the game takes place.

Adam Jensen is the main character of the game. You may already know him from another game of the series - Deus Ex: Human Revolution. He is himself augmented, however it was done to him when he was mortally wounded - he survived only thanks to augmentation. He is in a tough position in Mankind Divided as he is persecuted during the mechanical apartheid and at the same time he has to try to change the situation in the world.

The world in Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is thrown in chaos and only the best can navigate such a world. Adam Jensen plays several roles at the same time. He has to cooperate with Interpol, fight against growing terrorist threats around the world as a member of Task Force 29 group, work with a group of hackers to keep Illuminati in check as they are behind the violence of augmented people who they managed to control.

You will be amending improvements of Adam Jensen in the course of the game selecting between improvements of stealth, combat abilities but also social skills. Proportion between them will be important for you play style - whether you will complete missions without spilling a single drop of blood or the other way around with a lot of people being harmed. Your decisions will affect the world around you so you want to make the right choices as much as possible. Will you manage to use Adam Jensen's abilities to counter terrorism and growing power of Illiminuti or the world will end in inglorious way? It will be up to you...

More information about the game Deus Ex: Mankind Divided

• The game really accents the opportunity to choose. The game can be finished with a horrible carnage in every single mission but also without ever killing a single person.
• Many of czech quotes, writings and traffic signs are exactly same as in real world Prague. Including "favourite" parking zones that limit who can park their car on a certain place. However some are quite off, probably because czech and english langueges work quite differently. What probably should be named "Refugee Station" ended up being named more like "Animal Shelter Station". Probably not intentional...

Interesting facts

• There was a huge response to the usage of the term mechanical apartheid which dominates one of official trailers. Some claim that it is inappropriate to use it but creators declared they think it is very right name for what happened.
• Creators are sometimes criticised for Prague in 2029 looking too much russian instead of czech. Hopefully this will not follow the path of technical detail in the first Deus Ex released in 2000 and taking place in 2052 which presented New York without World Trade Center buildings (which were destroyed in 2001). On the other hand russian language is not so scarce in Prague today, there are even shops with russian signs only.
